GETTING TURKISH CITIZENSHIP

With the amendments made on 19.08.2018, significant progress has been made to pave the way for the acquisition of Turkish citizenship. The process requires very few of the client's attendance. Buying Real Estate

 

The Government decreased the condition for citizenship by real estate purchase from USD 1.000.000 to USD 250.000.  It means %75 discount. 

 

Therefore, as of 19.08.2018 the Government permits applications for citizenship by buying real estate worth at least USD 250.000. In this way real estate can be sold after 3 years of the ownership without any restrictions.

 

It is very important  that a due-diligence is made for such property assuring that it falls within the standards of the citizenship programme. For this reason, consulting to a professional before such investment is considered a necessity. Otherwise, a failure in this process may cause instant refusal of application by the Government.

3 year investment strategy 

 

• Buy a property with maximum discount from market (currently prices are low)
• Sell after 3 years with 35% price growth and 21% total rental income.
• Capital growth on sale + rental income = 56% profit in 3 Years.

 

Making Bank deposit 

 

The Government lowered the requirements for citizenship by bank deposit from USD 2.000.000 to USD 500.000, which is equivalent to a %75 discount. Thus, citizenship applications will be possible to those who hold USD 500.000 or its Turkish Lira equivalent. Such deposits can be withdrawn or transferred after 3 years. 

 

 

Other methods

 

There are other methods such as investing into government bonds, employment of certain number of employees in Turkey and investing in sectors approved by the Ministry of Industry and Technology.
